Information About Kangaroo Island
|
|
|
Kangaroo Island is located 13 km's off the coast of South Australia
and is Australia’s third largest island with a length of 150 km's
and a width of 50 km's approximately. One third of Kangaroo Island is
dedicated to National Parks making Kangaroo Island a virtual sanctuary
for fauna and flora. Kangaroo Island has also escaped some of the
introduced species that main land Australia has such as foxes and
rabbits which have changed the face of the Australian outback. The
only issue Kangaroo Island has is with feral cats, unfortunately
they pray on native wildlife such as small birds and lizards. |

ride around the island in one day. There have been bicycle
club's that do cycle around the island but they allow more then one
day to do this. So be prepared to do a bit of travelling to see all
